2. Run! (Or walk! Or bike!)
After you register, you’ll have until August 31, 2018 to complete your 5K or 10K run anywhere you like! Then return to your original registration email to access an online form to officially log your run.

If you’d like to complete your run with a group of fellow trail supporters, you can join the Steel City Road Runners on Saturday, August 11. In addition to registering for the VIRTUAL trail run in Step 1, you’ll need to sign up for SCRR’s training run. Click here to sign up!

3. Share!
Share your photos of the trail or a favorite story via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using #irunthetrails. Each post featuring #irunthetrails will be entered to win a FREE registration to the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler on November 4, 2018.

4. Connect!
Be sure to follow P3R and Friends of the Riverfront on social media for regular updates about the VIRTUAL Trail Run and how your support directly contributes to maintaining and improving Pittsburgh’s trails.

5. Wear!
After August 31, we’ll send a t-shirt to all registrants who logged their run via the online form. Wear it with pride to show your support of the trails!

About Friends of the Riverfront

When you support Friends of the Riverfront, you become part of a network of people who care about expanding our trail system, connecting river communities, and increasing access to our water trails.

Since its inception in 1991, Friends of the Riverfront has been a pioneering organization working to protect and restore the Pittsburgh region’s rivers and riverfronts after decades of legacy pollution. The Three Rivers Heritage Trail now encompasses more than 25 miles of urban riverfront trails along both banks of the mighty Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers. Proceeds from the VIRTUAL Trail Run will help with trail maintenance and expansion.

Thank you for making this important work possible. Click here for more information about the Friends of the Riverfront Trail Membership Program.
