P3R Appoints New Marketing & Communications Director

Pittsburgh’s ‘go-to’ event planning organization adds Allison Corbett to growing team

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Inc. (P3R) announced today that Allison Corbett has been named Marketing & Communications Director. She joins P3R with 10 years of strategic communications and marketing experience, working with major brands including Liberty Mutual Insurance and FedEx Ground.

“I am beyond excited to return to my hometown to join the P3R team,” Corbett said. “It’s a dream to be able to work with this talented group of professionals and bring these incredible events to life.”

As the Marketing & Communications Director, Corbett will build upon P3R’s foundation as a recognized leader in race management by planning, developing and executing marketing communications strategies for the organization and its year-round calendar of events, which includes the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler and new Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail Relay.

Prior to P3R, Corbett was a communications consultant for Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston. She also spent five years supporting corporate communications and strategic projects at FedEx Ground in Pittsburgh. Corbett earned her Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College.
