Races & Runs

Heineken 0.0 Pittsburgh Earth Day Run

We regret to share with all of you that the Heineken 0.0 Pittsburgh Earth Day Run will not take place in 2020. As you have probably already heard, the City of Pittsburgh has banned all mass gatherings of 50 or more people through May 10, 2020, adhering to guidelines from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

We are sure this message doesn’t come as a surprise, and we are just as disappointed as you are that we are not going to be able to bring this completely sustainable event to you. Each of you will have two options for your registration:

  1. Donate to Kids of STEEL, supporting the next generation of runners!

  2. Receive a refund

You will need to make your selection in your Race Roster account by April 2, 2020. If you do not make a selection by that time, your registration dollars will automatically be donated to Kids of STEEL.

If you would like to opt for the refund, please follow these instructions by April 2, 2020:

  1. Sign in to your Race Roster account

  2. Click the blue Edit Registration button

  3. Under the Registrations Questions tab, select “Refund”

  4. Click Save & Exit to finalize your choice

We were so excited to bring a completely sustainable event to Pittsburgh and want to encourage all runners to continue to incorporate sustainable habits into their lives. We will be back in 2021 for the REAL first-ever Heineken 0.0 Earth Day Run!

Please email us at with any questions you have. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation together.
