Local High School Track & Field Invitational Benefits from P3R Sponsorship

P3R is title sponsor of South Fayette Lions Track & Field Invitational on April 27. More than 33 area schools expected to participate.

PITTSBURGH (April 23, 2019) – From toddlers to teenagers, P3R (Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Inc.) is committed to inspiring the next generation to love running. This weekend the nonprofit organization will serve as the title sponsor of the South Fayette Lions Track & Field Invitational. The 13th annual event will bring together 2,000 high school athletes from 33 area schools.

“P3R is proud to give back and support local young athletes,” said Troy Schooley, P3R Vice President of Sales and Partnerships. “We’re focused on making a lasting impact in our community, and this is a great opportunity to support an event that helps teenagers build confidence, encourages competition and promotes the sport of running.”

Each year thanks to the generous support of runners, P3R is able to give back more than $66,000 to the local community and support youth initiatives. Programs like Kids of Steel and the Middle School Run Club aim to motivate and challenge children of all ages to reach new fitness goals. P3R hopes by supporting events like the South Fayette Lions Track & Field Invitational they are able to reach even more teenagers and inspire a life-long love of running.

“We’re committed to runners long-term, and as kids get older, we want to provide new opportunities and keep them motivated to run,” Schooley said. “Each of our signature and partner events offers a top-quality experience that makes it fun, easy and exciting to reach new fitness goals.”

P3R’s signature and partner races include the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon weekend of events (May 3-5), Fleet Feet Liberty Mile (Aug. 9), FlyBy 5K and 2 Mile Fun Fun/Walk presented by CNX Resources (Sept. 21), Richard S. Caliguri City of Pittsburgh Great and Dollar Bank Junior Great Race (Sept. 28-29), GAP Trail Relay presented by UPMC Health Plan (Oct. 10-11) and EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler (Oct. 27).
