P3R is the engine behind Pittsburgh’s greatest races. We strive to inspire any and all to move with us.   Best known for organizing the acclaimed annual DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, P3R also organizes a variety of other high-quality races, training runs, and health and fitness programs throughout the Pittsburgh region.  

Objective:
The Youth Program Coordinator will report to the Youth Program Manager and focus on activating and implementing the award winning Kids of STEEL program and Youngest MOVERS curriculum at applicable sites throughout the tristate region. A high-energy, hands-on, active and outgoing individual is sought for this position as the role will be forward facing and focus on program implementation, program quality, supporting volunteers, and motivating children to increase time spent in physical activity.  

Essential Duties:

• Teaches site leaders how to create an inclusive and welcoming environment centered around movement.
• Delivers engaging, fun and safe group fitness instruction for various groups and levels of youth.
• Creates and delivers physical activity content in relative and usable formats.
• Builds effective and authentic relationships with members of schools and community groups.
• Maintains high level of communications and customer service to program sites.
• Conducts assemblies, site visits and new school orientation meetings throughout the region.
• Organizes and delivers quality Summer Programming through site visits and KOS Summer Camp.
• Works with department staff to increase community visibility through training events, group runs, school assemblies, activity fairs and other events.
• Assist with strategy and execution to ensure P3R events effectively engage youth participants.
• Drives program and event registrations by engagement and awareness of all offerings.
• Oversees Donor Letter process four times per year.
• Assists with site outreach.
• Assists with content creation for youth curriculums and video libraries.
• Assist with the execution of P3R races and events as directed.
• Other tasks as assigned

• Proficient in MS Office and G Suite
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Valid Driver’s License
• Flexible work schedule
• APS/CPS Background Check for WV, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Criminal History Background Check, WV & PA State Police Criminal Record Check are required to obtain and maintain employment; obtaining the required clearances is completed as part of the new hire process
• Willingness to obtain CPR, Pediatric First Aid in addition to other trainings    

Travel as necessary to sites around Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Ohio and to P3R’s Pittsburgh Office. Reimbursement will be at the established governmental rate when company vehicles are not used.
