New Point-to-Point Course Unveiled for Pittsburgh Parade Day Dash Presented by GNC

1.29.26

Second annual event on March 14 will start on the North Shore and finish in the heart of Parade Day festivities

PITTSBURGH, PA  – P3R today announced a new and improved point-to-point course for the 2nd annual Pittsburgh Parade Day Dash presented by GNC, enhancing the participant experience for one of the city’s newest and most festive traditions. The event returns on Saturday, March 14, 2026, giving runners and walkers the opportunity to kick off Parade Day with a 5K run or 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk ahead of the 10 a.m. start of Pittsburgh’s iconic St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The updated 5K course will begin on the North Shore outside Acrisure Stadium, travel along North Shore Drive, loop around PNC Park, and cross the Roberto Clemente Bridge before continuing through Downtown Pittsburgh via Grant Street. Participants will finish on the Boulevard of the Allies, placing them in the heart of the city’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and allowing ample time to enjoy the festivities before the parade begins.

“With this new course, we’re improving the overall experience while creating space for the event to grow,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “That growth means more people can be part of the energy, excitement, and celebration that make Parade Day in Pittsburgh so special.”

The updated 1-mile course will start Downtown on Smithfield Street, turn onto 7th Street and Grant Street, and finish on the Boulevard of the Allies.

Designed to be fun, accessible, and family-friendly, the Parade Day Dash offers something for everyone—from competitive runners to families and first-time participants. The inaugural event sold out with 2,500 participants, and even more are expected to take part in 2026.
