P3R Announces Road Closures for the 2022 YMCA Turkey Trot Presented by UPMC Health Plan

More than 6,000 expected to participate in the 32nd annual event that will benefit the YMCA food pantry programs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

PITTSBURGH – P3R announced road closures related to the 2022 YMCA Turkey Trot presented by UPMC Health Plan, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 24. More than 6,000 participants from 40 states and Great Britain and Canada are expected to participate in the longstanding Thanksgiving tradition that will benefit the YMCA food pantry programs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.  

This year’s 1-Mile Family Fun Run presented by Busy Beaver, 5K presented by UPMC Health Plan, the 5-Mile presented by FedEx and Double Gobble presented by Gentile, Horoho & Avalli, P.C. (5K plus the 5-Mile) will start on North Shore Drive and finish on Mazeroski Way near PNC Park. Both the 5K and 5-Mile courses utilize the Andy Warhol Bridge to take participants Downtown on Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Commonwealth Place.

Road closures for the event will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. In addition to these closures, cars will not be able to park on roads along the race route starting at 4:00 a.m. Residents and businesses located on or near the YMCA Turkey Trot course are urged to plan ahead.
