P3R Launches Podcast Highlighting the Running Industry and Runners’ Stories
“Behind The Start Line” takes a behind-the-scenes look at race day and everything that happens leading up to the start line
PITTSBURGH, PA (July 17, 2020) – P3R launches the first season of Behind The Start Line, a podcast series peeling back the curtain on everything that happens before runners prepare to take off on race day. Listeners will hear from co-hosts Troy Schooley, CEO of P3R, and Eric Burnett, P3R Event Emcee, as well as local guests from the Pittsburgh area who have a hand in race day.
“Runners train for months to get to the start line of a race, but what they don’t see is that our team spends over a year planning to make that start line possible,” said P3R CEO and co-host, Troy Schooley. “We are excited to give runners a behind-the-scenes look at what exactly goes into making race day happen and also share some amazing runner stories along the way.”
Season One will launch 30-45 minute episodes every Wednesday for the next ten weeks, with Season Two set to launch in January 2021. The first episodes feature guests like Chief Meteorologist for P3R events, Ron Smiley from CBS KDKA and Bob Shooer, owner of Fleet Feet Pittsburgh.
“This is not your typical running podcast,” said co-host Eric Burnett. “We aren’t focusing on the elites of the running world. We are going to be discussing everything that goes into making race day possible, from start to finish.”
Listeners can submit questions or topics they would like to hear about by emailing behindtheline@P3R.org.
