Registration Now Open for the 2026 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend

PITTSBURGH, PA – Pittsburgh’s biggest weekend of movement is back — and the race to the start line begins today. Registration is now open for the 2026 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events, returning May 1–3, 2026.In its 18th year, this iconic three-day celebration will welcome more than 50,000 participants from around the world to earn their medals and make their miles count.

Run for a Reason Charity Program

Since 2009, the Run for a Reason Charity Program, presented by KeyBank, has raised more than $18 million for local and national causes. Participants in any marathon weekend event — from the marathon to the Pet Walk — can fundraise for causes close to their hearts through an easy-to-use platform, rallying family and friends, earning incentives, and even covering their registration fee by meeting fundraising milestones. In 2026, the program is projected to raise more than $1.5 million for charity.

New for 2026 — Personalized Participant Shirts

Runners can make their race even more special with a first-ever personalization option for 2026 participant shirts. For an additional cost, Marathon, Half Marathon (including the BACK Half and Walking Division), and Marathon Relay participants can add up to 10 characters — such as their name, nickname, or relay team name — to the upper back of their official race shirt. Orders must be completed by October 31, 2025 to guarantee your personalized shirt will be ready for pick-up at the Pittsburgh Live Well Expo presented by GNC during Marathon Weekend.
