PITTSBURGH, PA – Due to Air Quality Index (AQI) levels remaining at unhealthy and hazardous levels, the 2026 America's Mile in-person event scheduled for Friday, July 17 has been canceled. After closely monitoring conditions and consulting with our medical partners at UPMC, we have determined that the current air quality conditions do not allow us to provide a safe environment for our participants, volunteers, spectators, and staff.
We are deeply disappointed to make this decision, but the health and safety of everyone involved will always be our top priority.
