Pennsylvania-founded performance nutrition brand returns home to fuel Marathon Weekend participants
PITTSBURGH – P3R today announced Bare Performance Nutrition as the Official On-Course Gel and Hydration Partner for the 2026 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events. Known for its commitment to high-quality, performance-driven fuel, BPN will supply its premium electrolytes and Go Gels at aid stations along the marathon and half marathon courses, ensuring runners have the nutrition they need to perform at their best on Pittsburgh’s iconic point-to-point route.
Founded by Pennsylvania native and Indiana University of Pennsylvania alumnus Nick Bare, Bare Performance Nutrition began in 2012 as a small supplement company launched from Nick’s college apartment. Built on discipline, transparency, and performance, BPN has grown into a nationally recognized endurance and performance nutrition brand available at major retailers nationwide, including DICK’S Sporting Goods. This partnership brings Nick back to his home state in support of one of the nation’s premier running events.

In addition to on-course fueling, BPN will provide samples of its endurance products at the official Marathon Kick-off Training Run on Jan. 10, as well as select pop-up training events leading up to Marathon Weekend. BPN will also debut a new interactive experience at the Pittsburgh Live Well Expo presented by GNC during race weekend, giving participants and spectators an opportunity to engage with the brand firsthand.
