2026 registration includes free training plans and resources to support runners and walkers from registration through race day
PITTSBURGH, PA — Runners and walkers are encouraged to lock in their spot for the 2026 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events, taking place May 1–3, 2026, before registration prices increase on Jan. 15. Early registrants can save while gaining access to a wide range of free training resources designed to support athletes of all levels.
The 2026 event is on track to be the largest Marathon Weekend to date, with more than 50,000 participants expected, making it a record-breaking celebration of movement throughout the city. Adding to the momentum, both the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon and the UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon were named by Runner’s World among the top spring races to run in 2026, placing Pittsburgh alongside some of the most iconic running destinations in the world.
“We’re offering participants more than a world-class race weekend — we’re giving them the tools and support they need to prepare with confidence,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “From first-time runners to seasoned athletes, our goal is to make training accessible, informed and motivating.”
