Runners Celebrated the Return of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon with Annual Kickoff Training Run

After two years of crossing virtual finishers tapes, runners are thrilled for the opportunity to toe the start line of an in-person DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events. More than 300 runners met outdoors at P3R headquarters on the North Shore for the annual Pittsburgh Marathon Kickoff Training Run and started their 4-month training for the 2022 race weekend, which is scheduled for April 29-May 1.

Runners Complete 150-Mile Relay from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Md. in the Fourth Annual GAP Relay Presented by UPMC Health Plan

For the first time, the event started in Pittsburgh, running the opposite direction from previous years; 40 relay teams comprised of more than 240 runners from 16 states completed the epic two-day, non-stop relay adventure

Partnership hopes to inspire yinzers of all ages and abilities to participate in the annual event and help raise money for YMCA food pantry programs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
